Tech introduces the HPTO15FX
hydraulic clutch with its POWER
TOWER pump drives and ADVANCE TOWER
pump drives and ADVANCE 3 clutch
controller. The clutch is
rated for 1050hp. The combined
horsepower capacity of all four pump
pads is 500hp. The HPTO 15FX
comes standard with a "0" housing
and the pump drives come standard
with 'B' and/or 'C' SAE pads.The
ADVANCE 3 clutch controller is all
new. During start-up the
ADVANCE 3 regulates clutch pressure
with a proportional control valve to
achieve a smooth start-up.
This sets up a hydroviscous
condition in the clutch where torque
is transmitted through oil shear and
not by means of physical contract
within the disc pack. The
obvious benefit is disc pack
longevity.
In addition the ADVANCE 3 clutch
controller is J1939 compatiable thus
allowing the clutch to be more
integrated into the equipments
overall system.
